Automatic Precision, Inc. (API) is a family owned business that has grown significantly to become one of the largest manufacturers of Escomatic and CNC Swiss precision parts, specializing in connectors and electrical contacts since being founded in 1976. Currently operating two buildings, consisting of 26,000 square feet, we house over 200 machines. We are located in Harwood Heights, Illinois, just minutes from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Our quality program is accredited ISO 9001:2008, which affirms our commitment to total quality by meeting and/or exceeding quality management system requirements.

API has maintained a commitment to state of the art manufacturing technology, demonstrated a collective talent for creative problem solving in engineering, incorporated the most stringent quality assurance measures and subscribed to outstanding customer service philosophies that are unsurpassed in the screw machine industry. Our most valuable assets are the trained, motivated and experienced craftsmen who take pride in the quality products they produce. This commitment is what generates our industry defining performance standards.

We are large enough to be competitive and small enough to quickly and efficiently respond to customer needs and requirements. We offer in-house secondary capabilities and excellent outside sources that include plating, heat-treating, center less and OD grinding.

Because we run 24 hours a day, 6 days a week, we are capable of small runs and short lead times.

API is an active member of the Precision Machine Products Association (PMPA) and Tooling and Manufacturing Association (TMA).
